My goal here is the same as it was for the first edition-to allow you to become a proficient communicator of information related to
psychological science. The changes in this edition of the book reflect two general elements. First, the standards for writing change over time.
For example, norms have altered regarding how we refer to people in various groups. In fact, there are some groups that even a few years ago
weren't specifically recognized. As society moves forward, so does language. This particular change in this edition, along with others, relate to
the ways society now differs from time the first edition of this book appeared."-- Provided by publisher...
