Genetic Linguistics originated from discussions between the author and renowned linguist Joseph H. Greenberg shortly before his passing.
Together, they conceived the central theme of the book and began selecting key essays that reflect their shared interest in language classification and historical linguistics.
Although Greenberg passed away before the selection process was completed, his influence remains central to the volume.
The final arrangement and choice of essays were carried out solely by the author, who assumes full responsibility
for the structure and content of this scholarly contribution to linguistic theory.
