Summary: The book aims to assess the cognitive development of children, based on Piaget's description of sensorimotor intelligence. Because a given child may exhibit variability in level of development across the scales due to the independence of the 6 areas, no overall score is computed. Instead, results are reported according to the testee's highest critical action on each scale and the corresponding substage of sensorimotor development.
