Summary: The rapid changes brought about by globalization, digital transformation, and the knowledge-based economy have made 21st century skills essential for learners’ academic, professional, and social success. These skills—commonly including critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, communication, digital literacy, and problem-solving—require innovative teaching and assessment approaches beyond traditional methods. This paper examines contemporary methods and approaches used in the assessment and teaching of 21st century skills. It explores learner-centered pedagogies such as project-based learning, inquiry-based learning, collaborative learning, and technology-enhanced instruction that foster active engagement and real-world application. In addition, the study highlights formative and performance-based assessment strategies, including portfolios, rubrics, self- and peer-assessment, and authentic tasks, which provide meaningful insights into learners’ skill development. By integrating effective instructional practices with aligned assessment tools, educators can better support the holistic development of learners. The paper concludes that a balanced, flexible, and technology-supported approach to teaching and assessment is essential for nurturing 21st century skills in diverse educational contexts. http://172.20.27.22:4000/handle/123456789/83
